DESCRIPTION:Devizes Confetti Battle 2025 will take place after the Colour R
 ush in the Market Place.\n\nFollowing the colour rush fun run earlier in t
 he day\, the Confetti Battle kicks off in the Market Place\, followed by f
 ireworks. Don’t forget Jennings funfair will also be in town.\n\nYou can
  purchase confetti on the night from from a stall close to the Condado Lou
 nge in the Market Place. Confetti bags will be available to buy from 7:15p
 m. Please DO NOT throw any confetti until the cannon goes off at 8:15pm 
 – thank you!\n\nAs far as we know\, Devizes is the only town in the worl
 d that has a Confetti Battle tradition. No one can remember the first offi
 cial battle but we know its roots date back to the old Devizes Carnival in
  1913\, where confetti and rose petals were thrown by the crowd at people 
 in the procession. The tradition evolved into a fully-fledged battle aroun
 d 1955 when it was started by Jim Jennings.
