For us, with two active young kids, going to the pub is not as relaxing as it used to be! The days of leisurely sipping a drink while enjoying uninterrupted conversation seem like a distant memory. Now it’s all about keeping an eye on the children, making sure they’re entertained, fed, watered and not disturbing other people. Finding family-friendly establishments has become essential.
This summer we set out to find the pubs that don’t just have gardens, but that have gardens with play areas. It makes such a huge difference to our family outings. When the little loons have a dedicated space to play and explore, we can actually relax, enjoy our drinks and maybe even finish a conversation!
We’ve compiled a list of family-friendly pubs in Wiltshire with play areas. Each venue has been personally visited and tested by our family (it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!). We hope this helps other families, and we hope you will make more recommendations for us to ‘test’. 😊
